Step 1

How to measure correctly.

A perfect fit depends on three measurements: width, height, depth.

Width

Measure between the outermost points of your radiator — including valves, supply pipes and brackets. Add at least 3 cm clearance on each side so the cover can be removed easily.

Height

From the floor to the top of the radiator. If you want a usable shelf on top: add 2–4 cm extra height.

Depth

From the wall (pipe entry) to the front edge of the radiator. Add 2–3 cm for air circulation.

Pro tip

Send us a photo of your radiator with a tape measure — we'll check your numbers for free and reply within 24 hours.

Step 2

Oak vs. MDF vs. Metal.

Three materials, three worlds. Here's why solid oak is the only choice that doesn't end up in a skip after three years.

Step 3

Understanding heat output & convection.

The biggest fear with radiator covers: "Will my room get colder?" Our answer: not with ours.

How a radiator really heats

A radiator emits about 70 % of its heat through convection (warm air rising) and 30 % through radiation. Block convection with a closed MDF box and the radiator loses massive output.

Why our design works

Our open slat construction has 30–40 % free air flow area. Warm air rises unobstructed; cold air enters at the base. Result: up to 96 % of original output — independently tested by Fraunhofer IBP.

Step 4

15-minute installation.

No tools, no holes in the wall, no tradesman.

Unpack

Open packaging. Take piece out carefully and let it acclimatise in the room for 24 hours.

Place

Free-standing version: just place in front of the radiator. Feet are pre-fitted.

Align

Check with a spirit level. Adjustable screws in the feet handle uneven floors.

Done

That's it. Take a photo, let your guests ask "where did you get that?"

Step 5

Care & cleaning.

Solid oak is low-maintenance — but a little care doesn't hurt.

Everyday cleaning

Dust with a soft cloth or hoover with a brush attachment. For marks: a slightly damp cloth is enough.

Re-oil every 1–2 years

Oiled and natural variants benefit from re-oiling with linseed or hard-wax oil. A bottle of our care oil is available for €12.

For scratches

Light scratches sand out with grit 240+ paper, then re-oil. Deeper scratches: let us know, we'll send a free repair kit.

With normal use, decades. Solid oak is one of the hardest European hardwoods — same lifespan as a fine dining table.
